As one of the Afrobeats pioneers, multi genre DJ Sawa has worked tirelessly to bring the artform to prominence.

His debut “Azonto London All Stars” mixes crafted to amplify popularity for the genre brought together some of the UK’s best dancers, to express their culture through dance, and fuse various unique styles with the Azonto craze.

With over 10 million views, the energetic videos became instant hits, affirmed DJ Sawa’s influence on the Afrobeats scene and introduced the genre to a diverse audience.

From his hugely popular mixtape series, to sold out club nights and high profile events, DJ Sawa consistently demonstrates versatility to the delight of, and rapturous reviews from, his worldwide fans.

As an artiste and songwriter DJ Sawa has released songs with Mr Eazi, Stonebwoy, Moelogo and other Afrobeats stars. Influenced by highlife music and a love for the “right sound”, DJ Sawa’s style largely channels rhythmic African music, fused with dance and Afrobeats to cater to all tastes.

His successive mixtapes, songs and videos remain hugely popular with multiple streams and downloads on Soundcloud, Spotify, iTunes, YouTube and other media platforms.

In between nightclub residencies, DJing at various events, on radio and at festivals across the UK, Europe and Ghana, DJ Sawa works on other collaborative projects including mentoring upcoming talent to enhance the Afrobeats genre.
